Number One
Most closets are prime real estate so….EDIT. EDIT AND EDIT SOME MORE. The best way to get dressed every day seamlessly, is to see everything you have to choose from. So yes, edit first, then replace the old, non-matching hangers with whatever your preference is-wood, felt, etc. Make sure they are all the same and they will all hang at the same eye level, making it even easier to see everything you have. If you haven’t worn it this season, seriously consider deleting the item. Edits are so important and will give you lots of information about yourself and how your own style is evolving.
Number Two
The editing process will also reveal key pieces that are missing to complete looks that you have never been able to do so before. Make a list and fill the void. From fresh pieces that are missing from your wardrobe to investment pieces like a forever trench coat.
Number Three
Learn from your mistakes. Take note of what you didn’t wear and why. Make sure not to make those sometimes costly mistakes again.
Number Four
Make your lists of musts and voids. Consign those expensive pieces and use the money towards your new wardrobe for 2015!
Number Five
If the thought of this process gives you anxiety, hire an expert to help you. we might know one. 😉
